How EFT Accelerates Positive Thinking
The concept of ‘Positive Thinking’ in the self-improvement industry is looked upon sceptically by a lot of people. If you’re cynical you would say that just believing in something doesn’t make it true and if you’re optimistic you’ll concede you don’t always take the right action necessary.
Positive thinking doesn’t always work because thinking positively might only be going on on the surface while deeper negative beliefs persist. Just one deep-seated negative belief is enough to stop you from taking the right kind of action.
Positive Thinking never achieved anything on it’s own anyway. Positive Action is what you need, and you can’t have that without Positive Thinking. But it’s at the point of Positive Action that Positive Thinking starts to fail.
Because when you need to take action your negative beliefs will come up. You’re forced to battle all those negative beliefs and emotions. Positive Thinking becomes effective when you’ve gotten rid of al those things that are holding you back.
If you are able to focus completely on your goal and positive thoughts then it is of course possible to succeed despite those negative beliefs. This is how a lot of people operate. But it’s a real struggle, feels stressful and can be very draining. Also, those negative beliefs don’t change and you’ll have to deal with them every time you move towards new goals.
As always, Tapping makes it a hell of a lot easier. If, when you take action, you look for the negative feelings that come up, and tap them away, the negative thoughts vanish. You realise that the thoughts didn’t come from the reality of the situation, they were just your mind’s way of rationalising the feeling.
When you lose all those negative beliefs and thoughts that stop you from having the full benefits of Positive Thinklng you’ll be able to have a much stronger and deeper positive world view. Taking the right action will become more naturally and success will come much more easily.
